While I was Busy......

While I was busy........ accompanying my parents-in-love as they inspected aged care centres on Friday; watching Miss O and Miss V play their first cricket game Saturday; digging and weeding the garden; and then at church on Sunday........Master J was off on another Duke of Ed. camp with his school.

He took my little pocket camera and was the only camper to take photos of the amazing views.

Soon after arriving home Sunday lunchtime, he handed the camera to me - "Something for you to play with," he said with a smile. His images gave me more than something to play with, they gave me a big smile and a happy heart. I hope you enjoy them too!

Just before sunrise the first morning - note the moon and star still visible

Almost sunrise, second morning

At sunrise, second morning

Beautiful sunrise!

Unfortunately someone had fiddled with the settings and the images were all taken on "small" so definition isn't great but they are still wonderful to me - makes me want to go camping too!

Could you please pass on to master j that I'm very impressed in particular with shots 8,9 and 10. It certainly sounds like you've been busy Karen since returning from Dubbo. Lovely photos of the girls playing their first cricket game - such a cute picture of that little guy walking towards the pitch! Hope your day goes well - according to the forecast it's meant to reach into the 30s today, gulp...

Is this the same son who took the other lovely photos you showed a few months ago?
The shot of the suns rays on picture 8 is stunning, and really does show that every cloud has a silver lining.

Karen @ Pieces of Contentment said...

Yes Rosemary, the same Master J (17). He has a natural eye for a good photo although he rarely uses a camera.

He has inherited the gift of sight from you! It's not just a matter of point and shoot because there's a certain magic captured in all compelling photographs. He sees the magic and frames the shot with this intention. The landscape shots are breathtaking!

Gorgeous views! Worth taking all that camping equipment (that part always takes a lot of time! But worth it, when the views are like this!) Love your expression "parents-in-love:)

Fabulous images! It's not the kind of camera that takes great photos, it's the person behind the lens. These photos prove that.

Well done Master J ! A SUPERB collection of images - just beautiful scenery, especially the sunset captures; breathtaking! Hope he really enjoyed the camp. Thanks for sharing his (& your) photograph talents. Happy weekend Karen

Thanks Valerie. The photos Master J took were just before sunrise and at sunrise (we are on the east coast of Australia). Makes me appreciate his photos all the more as he was the only one to get up so early both mornings.

I have added captions to help avoid confusion.
