Sunny Gazania

9 am

A little bit of sunshine to brighten the day! This rather small gazania opened this morning, shining brilliant yellow in our garden.

Oh my, look how you've captured the centre of the flower in the first shot. I'm going to press send on this comment and go back to have another look. Actually, no, I'm going to ring the editor at ABC Gardening Australia Magazine and let them know about your flower capturing abilities.

Imagine waking up to such beautiful sights every morning. A visual treat indeed. I remember back home, on waking up, the first thing I would do was to open the garden door and step on the lawn just to feel the wet dew on the soles of my feet. Then I would walk around to see the new blooms for the day...:)

One of my morning delights is to walk around the garden with my camera, like you did May, checking all the buds and flowers, looking for new treasures.

Bright & yellow as the sun! =)

You asked about red barns in the US: I've read several different articles on the subject, but this one, 'Why are barns usually painted red?' is the best one I've found to explain it...

thanks so much for visiting & commenting... happy weekend =)

I wish now that our gazania will start to show us some bloom too. It interesting that it only bloom when the sun kiss them. Marvelous photos.

Absolutely beautiful, stunning photo's and a lovely flower. I planted Gazanias once when living in California, but the roots were eaten by the gophers.

Humble for sure, sitting there asking for nothing but a little sunshine, then presenting you with the opportunity to demonstrate your skill with the lens and share that sunshine with with bloggers worldwide.......

Humble for sure but not taken for granted!.....:)
