As we enter our winter, every splash of colour seems more vibrant and special. We have planted a few Australian native bushes in our yard for our enjoyment and also to encourage native birds and insects to come and visit. Today this little one was in bloom!
I'm enjoying sharing today at Alicia's "Crazy Days of Summer"
and also Macro Friday and Your Sunday Best.

ReplyDeleteThis flower won't grow much bigger. I caught it late morning with shadows behind it. I had to hold the stem with one hand (to stop it swaying in the breeze) and use the camera in my other hand.
:)

WOW!!! The reds, yellows, and greens on the blossom against that black background is awesome. This is one fabulous shot. If I were a bug, I would be sitting right there...a gorgeous spot to take a little nap after all of that flying about. So glad that it is springtime here rather than winter.

ReplyDeleteMiriam I'm not sure of the name of this Australian native.
The music is "The Gift" by David Nevue.
