Today is the first of Spring in Australia and we can see and feel the changes happening around us.
"As long as the earth continues,
planting and harvest,
cold and hot,
summer and winter,
day and night
will not stop."
Genesis 8:22
Yesterday we enjoyed our first family walk since the flu brought these to a temporary halt. The river was beautiful, the children were spotting eels and fish in the shallows below.
Above is the scene we saw at one of the trees along the way - some type of magnolia I think. I was amazed at the green leaves! Below is a photo of the same tree which I took on our previous walk, just 15 days ago.
A very pleasant walk and the beginnings of a beautiful spring.

I wish it was spring to. In Europe fall is starting and we did not have a summer. During this summer we had more than 60 days of rain and it is not over yet.

Hi, me again. I just read your lovely comment on my blog and wanted to ask if you have the candles that use batteries in Australia? We first saw these several years ago at a B&B in Colorado. We loved them and bought a few to take home. I have given them to my daughters, since like you, with young children, lite candles are not a good idea. I also have some of these, for the nights we are afraid we may fall asleep and don't want to worry about something burning. The batteries do last a long time. One caution, depending on the age of your children: batteries are installed from the bottom and not difficult to figure out for an inquisitive child. That would be the only drawback. My daughters put them high up out of reach. A very young child could chew on a battery. Yup, I am a grandmother with inquisitive grands who knows probably every trick in the book for child proofing a home, lol. Good luck and I hope you find at least one you and your hubby could use after little ones are sleeping and then put up high. Blessings, again
