Snapshots From Home

A very WARM WELCOME from sunny springtime Australia to all SKY WATCHERS!
The sky photo below was taken from our backyard as the sun was about to disappear behind some wild storm clouds last Sunday afternoon. I was taken by how the big white clouds were billowing up in the bright sunlight, about to be engulfed by the dark thunderstorm clouds swiftly moving their way.

Wind and heavy downpour followed for a good 15 minutes soaking the ground and sending gutters overflowing. There are hundreds of JACARANDA TREES in full bloom in our town right now. You can see the beautiful PURPLE CARPET which was left in the aftermath of the storm in the second last photo HERE.  Have a wonder-filled weekend!

First blueberry for the season

There's always something to capture my interest within our own yard. These have all been taken over the last few days.

  5. Beautiful photos. We planted blueberries bushes when we lived in Illinois and they were just starting to produce right when we moved here to Southwest Wisconsin.

  21. Wonderful shot, you are very lucky to still have greenery this time of year. Wonderful photography, I miss the vibrance, with fall's onset and the loss of most the fall foliage to strong winds my photos have taken on a very solem look. I wish I was in your neck of the woods, but I guess I'll have to wait until next spring.

  23. yesterday I made jam from the blueberries we froze earlier on in the season; an awesome thought to think that you are all about summer and warmth and increase right now... we are crawling lower and lower to the warm spots, waiting for winter's blanket to fall upon us and it warms my heart to see all your summer warmth!
    the photos are again stunning!

    CONUNDRUM

Imagine a world with no sky—
Through what would the geese and crows fly?
    And where would bears go
    If there were no snow
Falling to earth from on high?
