The sky was a little duller early this morning and it wasn't just the light cloud cover. We had a partial solar eclipse while some areas of far north Australia had a total eclipse. Quite amazing to witness. About 20 minutes passed between the photo above and the one below.
The beautiful spread of jacaranda colour is turning into a magnificent purple carpet beneath hundreds of trees all around town. A treat for the eyes!
This evening finished with a thunderstorm and rainbow, a lovely backdrop to the frangipanis/plumeria's long green leaves and wonderful tropical flowers.
Sun and skies, a magnificent part of our world, daily presenting us with beauty, witness, warmth and life.

ReplyDeleteYour photos capture just how amazing it was. I didn't get to see it. Not sure if we could see it from where I live but the cloud cover was too thick anyway. Have a wonderful rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteSame cudowne zjawiska. Zaćmienie słońca, dywan kwiatów na ziemi i tęcza. Wspaniałe. Pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteSame wonderful phenomenon. Eclipse of the sun, the carpet of flowers on the earth and the rainbow. Great. Yours.
Thank you for your lovely visit and comment :-)

You are carpeted in purple whilst we are carpeted in gold - spring for you and autumn for us.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeletereally fantastic pictures of the partial solar eclipse. The atmosphere at such events is unique. During the 1999 total solar eclipse in Europe even the birds stopped chirping.

Lovely rainbow too. And you are aware and seeing the beauty and life etc.
Blessings.
Awesome captures of the eclipse - almost seems eerie. And love the colour of the jacaranda - they're here in Florida too but will be several months before we see them bloom again.
ReplyDeleteA nice eclipse you were lucky to witness!
ReplyDeleteI sa a full one on a plane in 99 flighting between Geneva and Paris. As we wre only a handful in that plane the pilot asked for permission to do a wide circle so we could enjoy the sight! A great memory your photos bring up!
The Jacaranda and its carpet of flowers is superb and also bring memories our Jacarandas in South Africa!
That is a very beautiful photo!
