The Iron Outlaw

While studying Ned Kelly this week (the best known Australian bushranger) the children chose to create a modern newsroom broadcast about the event of Ned's arrest which occurred in 1880. Costumes, scripts and props were quickly created and the iPad used for filming and editing.

An added bonus was being able to share the finished product with Grandfather today who is currently on respite in an aged care facility in a nearby town. Tomorrow is Father's Day in Australia so we decided today would be "Grandfather's Day". He had a few good laughs, as we all did. The 12 minute production included hilarious ad's and bloopers. A very pleasant change for everyone to traditional "bookwork".

Our daughters and also Master T who played the part of Ned kelly. They laughed so much in all their efforts that it took more than one day, but was such fun.
