A Delicious Week

A truly delicious week! The food treats were so good I had to have some of each one......

1 & 2  Calendula flower speckled with a little morning dew
3  Sponge cake by Master T (13)
4  Coffee cupcakes and coffee frosting by Miss O (11)
5  Profiteroles and homemade chocolate sauce by Miss O (recipe on her blog)
6  Baked cheesecake and homemade caramel sauce by Miss G (15) who also made wonderful lemon meringue pies with our homegrown lemons
7  Even the undersides of my hand sewn quilt blocks look beautiful to me
8  Yesterday was rainy, the perfect time to teach the children to play chess
9  Holiday house boat on the river
10  Another glorious sunset as seen from the bridge
11  is number one again because I love it so.....(cropped as suggested by S.C.)

Thank you for the burst of sunshine on a cold and wet Melbourne day! There has to be a future "Master Chef" somewhere in your family! And how do you manage to not put any weight on??

Love the sunset reflected in the ripples.
If I lived at your house, I think perhaps I would weigh more than I do!!!

I must admit that the first one of the flower is really breathtaking. I don't want to give comment on flowers on the internet because there are so many but for this I make an exception. Still stubborn as I am could you try to get rid of the two green corners left and right in the bottom but still it is a great one. The food also looks delicious. Great posting.

If I had to write a thousand word essay on this post it could easily be done - these photos are so wonderful stating with the very first. So pleased you took in the delights - and of course hoping that being you're the mummy, that you were offered seconds.

All the treats of your week looked like I would enjoy eating them...that does not mean I should though, better at your house way across the ocean!

The sponge cake especially made me take notice because I have been thinking about baking a sponge cake these days....what jam did you spread between those luscious layers?

Karen @ Pieces of Contentment said...

Hi Cathy, the sponge was filled with raspberry jam (family favourite) and whipped cream - not too much. It was very nice and not overly sweet, just a dusting of icing sugar on top - all done by Master T.

Well girly all I can say is you sure do know how to use that camera. Such gorgeous and yummy shots my friend.

I went to lunch with my girlfriends today and one of them brought a quilt to show us that she had made. It had photos on the quilt. I asked my friend how much it cost her to have it made and she said $600. US dollars. It was a gorgeous quilt. I thought of your quilts when she show me.. You do beautiful work my friend..
