The Blue Cross is in our churchyard only just visible on a distant hill |
Do you think there could be an island no one has ever found which has lots and lots of dragons? I think it's possible - or maybe another planet far away with dragons living on it. What do you think?
I just saw another Slog. Did you know sometimes slogs ride surfboards? They're Sea amphibians, they can breathe water and air.
Have you seen a Batha? Bathas are a bit like slogs but they like to go to baths in people's houses. They're Sea amphibians too.
Do you think there are any Great White sharks in the river? People have caught Bull sharks in the river haven't they (yes this is true).
And so the chatter went, from start to finish on our evening walk, just Miss E (almost 6) and myself. I love Miss E's company and her vivid imagination. All I need to supply is a listening ear, a hand to hold and an open heart.

Fotos sempre lindas! beijos, ótimo fevereiro! chica
Nice pics. Never heard of Slogs and Bathas but they live in the imagination of every child only have sometimes an other name.
The shark question is very current now in Australia isn't it?
Dragons keep appealing to our imagination, don't they?
I had to go and look what exactly a slog and a Batha was. Google couldn't really provide an answer. Some mythical creatures as well? Although who knows, maybe they are around somewhere...?
Love your pictures, especially the first and the last one.
Marian
It is good to have time to listen to little people. They come out with interesting ideas. Love the photo of the blue cross and the little princess.
Slogs and Bathas are new to me! Your images are beautiful! Happy weekend to you!
Thank you for the smile :)
A lovely post! Miss E is delightful!
I didn't know Slogs ride on surf boards! If there was a Batha in my bath would that be a good thing or a bad thing?
Attitude is good. Nice,
Greetings,
Filip
I love the imaginations of children; many, many possibilities!! Bathas?? Perhaps that is what sometimes, comes falling from my faucet in this far rural outpost!!
Now that's an interesting question Rachael. I have just consulted our resident expert and Miss E assures me that finding a Batha in your bath would be a good thing for it would then be your pet for life and it only eats the same foods as we do.
Taką cudowną fantazję córki i Twoje zdjęcia można tylko podziwiać. Pozdrawiam.
Such a wonderful fantasy daughters and your images can only admire. Yours.
I like how in that first photo she is most confidently eyeing the slog in the water. This is such a sweet sweet post - one you'll be looking back on for sure. Your latest quilt looks lovely - I really like the colour combination. I had to laugh at my silly self though because as I was scrolling down your photos, I got to the last one and thought, 'oh, those are made out of triangle shapes', next thought: 'really?' so I scrolled back up again and was trying to work out how that would work out. Scrolled back down again and then 'ah yes, maybe I should have read the caption - leftover pieces... I knew that.' Hope your week goes ok, Renee.
Beautiful! What a fantastic light!
Hope you'll have a great Sunday Karen!

lovely post and picture!
She is darling!! :)
These are such beautifully serene photographs, Karen.
I just love the first one.
She is adorable.
very nice capture on the conversation and the photos. I just love listening to their chatter and recording it when I can because we know now how it disappears.
Precious moments.
Our youngest is coming up on seven this month, and he still holds my hands & chatters endlessly with such fascinating thoughts & questions.
I love watching our children learn & grow.. but OH! if I couldn't just keep one of them this small forever. :)
