Frosty Weekend

This morning

Yesterday morning

Frost on some paper bark from a nearby paperbark tree.

Sunshine working its magic!

A frosty morn is a noteworthy event in our household, only occurring a few times each winter. Our old house is certainly not built for weather extremes, however the sun is now shining brightly, promising another sensational warm winter's day outside.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday!

  1. I know that frosty mornings are a cold way to start the day, but I really love the sunshine that follows!

  3. I can relate! Really clever and clear photos (I'm running out of adjectives to describe your photography - it's always so lovely).

Oh and I forgot to mention just before, congratulations on getting a mention on the Flowers on Saturday photo share - well done. And see, it just supports what I've said above.

  5. I am giggling at the weather extreme! Here it is 35c in summer and -35c in winter. Pretty frost! You are green year round?

  7. Hi Monika!
Yes, thought some of you would pick up on "extremes". We are green all year round, well maybe brown from frost in winter and heat in summer, but the trees are mostly green. We do have days into the 40+ range in summer but our winters are lovely. Our homes aren't centrally heated so inside is often nearly as cold as outside. We wear our parkers/jackets inside the house as well as outside. During the middle of the day it is definitely warmer outside than inside most days.
