The first poppy for the year, what a delight! It's a Shirley Single Poppy, grown from seed. I've not grown this variety before and have loved watching the plants grow and now burst open with a sudden bright pop of colour.
Cudowne zdjecia od pąka do "środeczka" kwiatu maku. U Ciebie teraz będzie coraz ładniej w przyrodzie, a mnie coraz smutniej. Pozdrawiam. Wonderful pictures from the bud to the "center" poppy flower. You now you will be more nicer in nature, and I'm getting sadder. Yours.
I love to see spring unfolding somewhere as we experience the end of a beautiful summer and head into the darker season of fall and winter. I might need to come to your site for a breath of spring. I also liked your previous post...lots to think about there.
The season of Spring is always a joy to behold! Flower after beautiful flower beginning to burst open with happiness! Glorious photos, Karen!! Now, wouldn't a meadow of bright and happy poppies light up the camera!!
Gorgeous pictures. Your first Shirley poppies look so vivid of colour, just beautiful. In our country autumn has started so With a switch to the other end of the world, I can enjoy spring at the same time, is not it amazing. I am for the first time on this blog and will follow. Regards, Janneke
Wonderful group of shots. I didn't know what I was looking at in the top image, so it was especially nice to see the different stages of its development. Thanks for both the artistic entertainment and the education.
