Thank you so much for all who empathised and make suggestions regarding my frustrations in my previous post - and a special thank you for those who took the time to visit my flickr photos. The little things can make all the difference to our days whether they are points of frustration, or encouragement and help. For now I'll just continue posting as usual, using only photos which don't seem to be altered/distorted by the "enhancement".
This afternoon I took Miss E to the cricket nets to join her older siblings at the end of their practice session. It didn't take much of my time but it's something which she has wanted to do for a long, long time, something little which made a big difference to her day.
It's that time of year again when the hundreds, maybe even thousands, of jacaranda trees in our town are in full bloom. It sure is a wonderful sight to see, especially along those streets which are lined with them.
Oh my heavens, those blooming trees!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I've been thinking a lot lately about apple season here.. how in the spring all these bushels of apples we're eating were just blossoms that I was photographing.
I sure enjoy the action shots of your up & coming athlete!
Our football season wrapped up this week.. so thankful for no injuries this year - a big sigh of relief! Basketball practice will begin in just a couple of weeks, and will keep us busy through winter.
We've had dustings of snow here daily since the weekend, gray & chilly. Your photos are a burst of warm, bright, lively energy!
BEAUTIFUL pictures....a new star is born..... she will be a good player in the future.

ReplyDeleteThank you for posting that beautiful photo of the jacaranda bringing back memories of visiting Alice Springs last year. I had never seen one before. Can you imagine my joy at seeing one in flower for the first time. What a cricketer you have in the making. Miss E has got a beautiful overarm bowling action. I think it might be a case of 'Watch this space!'

I'm thoroughly enjoying the sea of mauve flowers across our city again. I'm planning to source out a place where there are as many Jacarandas in a row as I remember from Grafton... just to get a certain shot I have in mind.
Its amazing how simple things can make such an impact in someone's life. So great to see your little one enjoying her time practicing cricket!
