All Things Nice

The countdown and preparations have kept us all well aware that another birthday was almost upon us. This happy focus has helped us adjust to the recent departure of our eldest two for uni. More to share soon....

  2. So glad that you have these lovely distractions to help you refocus after your two oldest left for college. just wait until Miss E leaves for college. That is a traumatic event when your youngest is leaving. Shocking and definitely a a big adjustment. I remember that day well. hOpe your two oldest are adjusting well to being away, and know they will look forward to their visits home. Are they very far away/? Looks as if your birthday preparations are going to be very exciting.

  3. You are so right Jeanne, not looking forward to the youngest leaving - but that will thankfully be a quite a few years away yet.

The eldest two are doing very well. Master J is about 3 hours drive away and Miss E about 8 hours. They'll both be home for Easter.

  5. Tak kolej rzeczy. Dzieci odchodzą z domu i mimo iż tęsknimy, musimy się z tym pogodzić. Pozdrawiam.
So the way of things. Children leave the home and even though we miss, we have to accept that. Yours.

  7. Is little Miss E by any chance making a pinata?
It's been years, but we made birthday pinatas with paper mache one year.. the kids loved it!

So sweet, her sleeping face - and those sun-kissed little feet.

  8. You are right Amanda. Homemade pinatas have become a recent family tradition. Lovely to see her working on it, often with one of her older sisters.

  10. Always love seeing your children busy creating (or resting)! Empty nest is hard - but you've prepared them well.
