Beach Flowers?

  Today, our last full day of holidays, was a beautiful day. We are already talking about "next time". We have all loved our holiday here, a very special family holiday before our eldest two leave home to start uni.




 This morning's sunrise from our deck - I'm certainly going to miss this view and the sounds of the surf, the fresh salt air and the beckoning beach. The chair in the corner became a spot for me to sit and work on a little more of my Fresh Fields EPP quilt later in the day.




 Master J has enjoyed his fishing, even though he's caught nothing. It has been a pleasant break for him between theme parks. 




 While most the family were off enjoying the rides at Wet 'n' Wild on Friday, I enjoyed glue basting while watching over towels, etc. The watery prints and colours were a delight to work to the background sounds of water fun.


Sewing hexagons together this afternoon, overlooking the beach. :)       :)




 This week's flowers, dancing in the sea breeze! Maybe I should have named this quilt Beach Flowers, not Fresh Fields!

    I can see that working at a quilt consumes your time, but you're happy with that. View of the second picture is wonderful. Yours.

    Those hexagons look just amazing out there in the beach "grass". Master J .... so glad he was able to get a break between theme parks. So happy for you with this wonderful interlude for your family!! Hoping for much more of this for you in the future! Sending peace and joy thoughts to you!!@!

    Ohhh I was at Surfers Paradies once Newyear 1991/1992 - Long time ago. Love your Pictures as always and would love to be there to and sew a Little epp :)

    I am sorry to see your holiday come to an end...your warm sunny sweet photos have been quite welcome amidst the recent snowfalls :) (my personal faves are the two shots of the shoreline with and w/out tracks, from a few days ago)

    That looks so beautiful Karen! Love the colours! Love that last picture! Maybe you could change the name of this quilt after all? It would always be a wonderful memory of your vacation then.

    Don't your flowers just perfectly match the colours of your holiday location! Wonderful. As always, your photographs are beautiful captures. How bittersweet to have the oldest two leaving. I wish them well. And their mum, too. :)
