Some of our children love playing in the ocean, others are a little more cautious! There's a patrolled beach area just 100m away from our holiday house at Mermaid Beach on Queensland's famous Gold Coast. The highrise buildings of Surfer's Paradise are just along the beach to our north.
This afternoon I watched from our front deck as the children fished and flew kites. Late in the afternoon the beach was "busy" with many people out enjoying a walk or jogging in the cool of the day. One fellow was kite surfing.
How delightful it was to take an evening stroll with my six daughters, enjoying the lights and returning just before dark. We are all loving our location, it's even better than we had hoped.
Off to bed here now, more plans for tomorrow, weather permitting.
PS I'm so grateful for internet access at our holiday house but it's very slow much of the time....

Beautiful holiday pictures from the Gold coast, so nice to see the lovely sunny weather. Can imagine you are very proud and happy to have an evening walk on the beach with 6 daughters.

ReplyDeleteIt is much nicer down there than in Surfer's Paradise. Great to have a house right on the beach without having to cross a road. The kids must love it.
