You may remember my photo of an upended bee in one of these flowers. This time I have another visitor to share....a fruit wasp! I usually avoid close proximity to wasps, however I was just taking photos of the flowers when at that exact second, a wasp landed! Thankfully he left as quickly and uneventfully as he arrived. I thought it was just another bee until I had a close look at my camera screen! In the photo below you can just see the wasp entering view on the righthand side.

Great capture - do those little insects sting - we have something very similar here in the UK and they never sting so I don't mind having the lens about 1" from them.

Thank you everyone. Yes these wasps do sting, although I haven't been stung by this variety (I don't remember seeing these before).
