Walk the Bridge

Last weekend I shared a sunset bridge photo and some details of that rather amazing double decker bridge. Let's take a little walk over the bridge! At this point the western footbridge and road (above) are veering into line with the railway track. You can just see the water pipes the other side of the tracks.

These photos were taken on a sunny Sunday afternoon four weeks ago, the same day I shared of kangaroos and a place for grace.  The weather today is not nearly so nice, we really know it's winter!

This photo straight out of the camera (SOOC) - no editing or cropping.

We are at the opposite end of the bridge to the sunset photo. If you look carefully you will notice the little control tower-room above in the sunset photo also, a remnant from when the bridge use to open to allow larger boats through.

 One day I'll take photos to more clearly show the peculiarities and structure of this bridge....and maybe a train as well!

Sharing at SOOC Sunday, SSS  and Sunday Bridges.

We went for a walk over the bridge on one side and back on the other on Caleb's birthday in March. It was lots of fun noticing new things and looking at things we have discovered before. Caleb also did a major project on the bridge last year, so he could give us lots of info on our walk.

seems as a nice walk with lots of wiews. As for kangoroos, so odd for me, would not mind having some of those around. Saw a couple when passing by a golfcourse when I was in Australia, look strange...

Incredible....the bridge we have her in our city is the 2nd highest in Texas, and it crosses the ship channel....but the walkway is right up where the traffic is...way up high!! Not me. I could walk This One tho!!

My shadow this week is of a horn cleat [what you use to tie up a boat at the dock]

Hope your weekend has treated you well.

A shadowy bridge...just the place to find mystery and intrigue!

TALKING SHADOWS?

Imagine a shadow could talk
In whisper or rumble or squawk;
Just what would it say
To make you go, “Hey!
You’re just a chip off the old block!”?
