Morning Light

Early this morning I had a dental appointment and took my camera with me because..........across the street from my dentist is a lovely old Anglican Cathedral. I was amazed at how beautiful it was inside with the morning light streaming through all the windows.

Here's some closer detail of the carved woodwork, I love the coloured light falling on the floor from the stained  glass windows.

It was a wonderful interlude between dentist and home.

Sharing at Communal Global, Photo Story Friday.

Lovely photos! We just became Anglican this year. Many elements of this church remind me of ours with that English Gothic look.

The detail of the wood carving is amazing and the stained glass windows are a work of art.

I think you'll want to add a facebook button to your site. I just marked down this url, but I had to do it manually. Just my suggestion.

Beautiful photos. The church looks medieval. Of course can't be. Is it 19th century?

Hi Anna, this cathedral was completed in 1884. Some old world charm, but not too old, as you correctly worked out.
