Mr Sandman

Late yesterday we headed to Main Beach and before we had finished crossing the sand dunes a new sight met our eyes, an "inland lake" left behind from the high tide the previous night.

Children and water seem to be drawn to each other, especially safe and fun water like this!

Miss G had a plan in mind while others had some crazy island sandcastles dreams.

Some hair for the finishing touches to Mr Sandman.

Twin sister had some helping ideas of her own, however Humpty Dumpty must have been Mr Sandman's other names and soon he was no more......

A very pleasant way to end a warm autumn day.

We are now safely home and enjoying our usual internet access, I love feeling connected again.

Those kids of yours, with the building of the sandman, aka humpty dumpty .... you must stand back and lovingly smile, even though they probably don't truly understand the depth of your smile. They certainly revel in the water. Pleased that you both had a good break and that you're also happy to be back home.

Beautiful beach shots! Sigh! Your pictures are nice and sharp. That's something I'm striving for in all my shots. My hand shakes are getting the best of me and so I now have to rely on one of my "pods". I will be doing a post on monopod vs tripod...real soon! ;-)

That is so cute--a sandman instead of a snowman! That is a beautiful beach. It looks like your lovely girls had fun being creative in the sand.

I smile my way through all your posts. Beautiful family and you capture God's creation with notes of detail. You make me think how much beyond my scope of imagining heaven will be like.

I really like your last shot. Not only are the waters trapped after high tide safer, they are also usually warmer. - Margy
