Court House

"I need to work until 6" my wonderful hubby said yesterday.
I arrived to pick him up a few minutes early. The late afternoon sun shed it's end of summer glow across the side and rear of the buildings. No more do I need to think "I wish I'd brought my camera". With the street mostly empty of cars I could really appreciate the stately beauty of out town Court House. Too shady for a regular photo, I was keen to see what Waterlogue would create from the scene. Wow! I love what it's done.

Maybe I need to take a wander around town and play tourist, some of the older buildings have lovely details which we rush past in our daily lives moving from A to B. I'll have to make a time, for otherwise it never seems to happen.....

I work with Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator and so On ... ... But they are without such a good Filter like waterlogue! You picture is very good and you take also good paper, what I see. Now it's time to get this Software for me, I think ;)

I truly thought you had branched out into water color painting!!! I rarely like photos tweaked like this...but these are well done!!! Interesting ap!

I first thought you had been watercolouring yourself, these are beautiful!

Good question Mary Huey. Our town was officially named in 1851 but "cedar getters” started arriving after 1831 to fell the huge red cedar trees which were/are very valuable.
Bearing in mind the first white Australian settlement (convicts) only began in 1788, it makes our country town rather old by Australian standards.

Wow those are beautiful. I actually thought they were watercolor paintings at first until I remembered the App you mentioned. Just stunning, Thanks for sharing!

You're right, sometimes we need to see the 'old' things with new eyes. Love these edits a lot.

Such a wonderful thing to get to arrive in town at a later time and view this peaceful scene. Isn't waterlogue a fun app. I have it on my phone, and think it makes even the plainest scene in to a piece of artwork.
