Can you guess what flower this is? It's about half an inch or one cm across.
Tidying up our vege patch I was pulling out some veges which had gone to seed. I was about to put the plants in the bin when I stopped to have a closer look at this tiny flower. I was amazed at how beautiful it was.
These days folks rarely keep seeds from one crop to start the next, few of us would be able to identify the flowers of many common vegetables. This is a cos lettuce flower - anyone guess correctly?

I don't know but then again I'm terrible with flowers. I'm going to venture out of the norm and say, is it a weed? We have some really pretty weeds around here. lol. Beautiful shot, too!
