Fresh Garden Treasures

Duranta

Frangipani flower with 6 petals (most have 5)

Grass seed-head unfurling

Pink strawberry flower

All taken over the last few days. The rain and a mild summer are agreeing with the garden (and the weeds).

Such beauty. It will be a few more months before we see flowers here ;-)

Interesting fact about the Frangipani - like finding a 4-leaf clover.

This morning we had our first strawberry on our plant, but something ate it during the day.

These captures are so crisp and superb. (and a 6 petalled frangipani!!!)

I am smitten by the frangipani! I saw one for the first time in New Zealand, then I saw them growing wild in Fiji. I'm so happy to know they grow in Australia too. :-)

Such a gorgeous array of photos, the grass seed has so much texture, have never noticed that frangipani's usually have five petals, will have to pay more attention next time, fabulous!

Karen, your skill with the camera amazes me. I especially liked the grass seed unfurling today. Yor macro-photos are great too. - Dave

All such lovely macros as usual.
The grass see unfurling is a great capture and I love the strawberry flower - so pretty and delicate.
I wasn't aware Frangipani's usually had 5 petals (clearly I haven't looksed close enough when photographing them)... I will be on the lookout now.
