Everyday Joys

A quick walk revealed a beautiful smoky sunset after today's frosty winter beginning. The changing scenes from our town bridge never cease to amaze me.

Miss E arrived home from uni very late last night - wonderful aromas of curry and rice are coming from the kitchen as I type - she has missed cooking while away. It's a real treat to have each of our older two come home for winter break - alas Master J's break was short and he has come and gone already.

The creative drawings of our younger ones delight me - and the accidental chalky handprints on the clothes!

I hope you have time to savour those uplifting little joys during your week too.

How wonderful for you to have one of your 'chefs' home to take over the kitchen. It doesn't get much better than curry and rice....enjoy!!

And a joy it is especially when someone other is taking over in the kitchen by surprise when it is normal your turn. Have a nice week.

Hi Karen, I came back to answer your question about the header photo on my blog. It isn't our place but a farm we passed driving in Norway. Your comment made me look a little closer at your header. It is also beautiful! Creative and very artistic :)

It amazes me that you have barefoot young ones decorating with sidewalk chalk in the mid-winter.
For once things are the same in our opposite climates! Our kids have covered the concrete outside in doodles and art. I agree - I love it and savor it. Precious pictures, Karen! :)

It must have been wonderful to have your oldest 2 home for the Uni break!

Bec is back too Uni next week after a semester off to regain her health for good! She is doing incredibly well, her body is weight restored for the first time in 5 years, her mind is slowly catching up but her mindset has been incredible. This semester she will an incredible one for her both physically and mentally. Prayers answered finally!! I am overjoyed!
