It's finished! And it's rather pretty I think.
In the early morning light after completion this morning. You can see the simple quilting lines accentuating the diamond shapes. |
*** You will find an easy to follow tutorial for making this quilt with slightly different border construction and a little smaller in dimensions over here at Wedding Dress Blue. Deanna has done a wonderful job of detailing how to construct an almost visually identical quilt.

What beautiful colors. They stand out lovely against the white background. Nice photos too. You should be really happy with that quilt.
Oh it is just beautiful and you work so fast!
Thank you Michelle, I am happy with how it turned out. I didn't have quite enough of the green border fabric yet was determined to create a nice finish with what I had. I'm really pleased with the extra "points" and effect they give.
Thank you Deanne. A small quilt can be very fast. I had to wait for extra fabric to arrive from the US which gave me time to complete my "Nature Play" quilt. I take a while as I sew in between other commitments and only as I want to, without the "ought to" of some projects.
That is a great charm square pack pattern. Striking!
Thank you Corrie. I just fiddled with it until I was pleased with how it looked.
Beautiful, Mummy! I think it's my favourite out of all the quilts that you've made.
That's interesting Elise. Is it the colours/fabric or the design you like most?It was fun to make.
This is such a beautiful quilt!! I love the contrast with the white. Thank you for following my blog! :)
Thank you Silvia, we both enjoy using white in quilts. It's my pleasure to follow your blog, you create some beautiful things.
What a beautiful quilt! Great use of color and it just makes me happy looking at it.

Thank you Lori, it makes me happy too.
Alice, I'm sure you would be able to make one. The only tricky bit was working out how to do the corners of the border.
