Mid afternoon yesterday we watched dark storm clouds moving our way. It was fascinating seeing the tumble and roll and move over us.
During the storm it became quite dark inside, Miss E was much happier with a torch, although still a little unsure.
Beautiful bright sunlight breaking through after the storm. Lots of rain, a bit of wind but thankfully no damage.
*** UPDATE***Apparently some areas close by did have significant hail and wind, with some friends sustaining considerable damage to their home and possessions in the worst hit area.
Early evening, the storm clouds receding into the distance make an interesting backdrop for the setting sun.

We had a few trees go down, and the R.... family had some quite significant damage at their place, particularly their building site!
It's a rhetorical question but, how on earth (excuse the pun) do you manage photos such as this? - it encompasses the whole scene, of such a large scene. Amazing. Just let me say it again, amazing.
Oh Deanne, that's bad news, especially for the Rs. The radar didn't look too nasty, you just can't tell.
S.E.D the first was taken from our street front, the second from our back deck and the last was taken on my evening walk on the bridge, around 7pm. The bridge makes sweeping views easier to catch.

Ominous looking clouds, but the sky is beautiful again following the storm.
