Having seen this nearby, small tree for many years, I have never really "seen" the flowers! How is it that one can be so unobservant? Blogging, or more particularly, photography with a purpose, has certainly opened my eyes to the world around me in more ways than one.
Again I don't know the name of this tree but suspect it may be Australian. Can anyone help me out here?
The flowers have a light sweet scent and the ants and bees are rather fond of it.
This morning I managed to snap this butterfly dining on the flowers too.

Just one chance with this one, and a gentle wind was blowing too. Grabbed the branch with one hand to steady it and snapped with the other, then it flew away....
