No question about Friend or Foe with these munching machines! I found them feasting on our bottlebrush bush early yesterday morning, their trail of destruction so clearly evident!
I had to pick my jaw up off the floor! Man, they are destructive little boogers. At first I thought they were pretty with their colors and markings, but wow. Look what they did to that leaf! Looks like a skeleton now.
Even the foe is beautiful under your camera. Thanks for your kind comments. If you decide to do a Blurb book, it would be gorgeous; I'd love to see it. I've been very impressed with their reproduction quality.
Thanks for the comments. What kind of a muncher is this? He looks awful and fully equipped to destroy your plants. Here it is the beetles. They are just the worst for us. Your shots of him and what is left of the leave are great. The only thing I like about him is his coloration. genie
I don't know what that bug is but my oh my the artistry it does with a leaf! I know it is destructive but the shell of the leaf left behind is lovely! :) Wonderful shots!
Wow, did you stay there and watch them eat the leaves? Or did you go away and come back? I'm curious to know how long it took them to munch down a leaf! They were really lined up and marching in a row! That's really remarkable--both the nature and the photography!
a beauty all its own... even in destruction all we see is more... the frame of what was formed, life stripped off, yet, God still in all the details...

Wow! They sure did a fast job of munching up that leaf. I've never seen such an assembly line of munchers!
Amazing captures! They are busy!!!

Amazing photos - I think they do not need a long time to eat a leave
What I would find horrifying, you manage to turn into beauty.
I salute you.
Beautiful and creative images. Many other great pictures here aslo :))
These insects have left the leaf looking lace-like. Nature can be beautiful & terrible at the same time.
Wow...they sure made a mess of that.
Wooow, they eat :0) Wonderful shot :0)
Love the shots - but oh my, they seem tough on the plants!
Wonderful shots...... very nice done.
greetings, Joop
So cool shots!!!
Bless their hungry little tummies ♥
wow, they're really on a mission aren't they? Great shots!
Looks more like a sunday family dinner for me. You need some more of the cute little birds in your garden to keep them at bay.
just outstanding!!!
What amazing images. Definitely "Foe" but, although destructive, the skeleton leaves left behind have such beauty!
More great captures! :)
Amazing shots. Wow- what are those things? They're kinda pretty seen up -close like that, but what a number on the foliage!
What a work of art they have created! Amazing pics.
Everybody"s gotta eat!!! It actually made for some great photos. Have a lovely day. Mickie :)
They ate everything? Great shots!!
Wow!! It's pretty cool what they leave behind, but you probably don't want you bush eaten up!

Great shots Karen. Hope you also had a great day and your helpers enjoyed your cake!
Zdjęcia piękne, ale takich szkodników nie chciałabym mieć w swoim ogródku. Pozdrawiam ciepło

Your photos are amazing! I'd say they're definitely foes. Talk about team work!

This is both creepy and beautiful at the same time.
So small - but very greedy creatures.
