The hole in the petal suggests he might be foe, but he was too cute for me to exercise "pest control".
"Look Mummy, he's got stripers, just life tigers and zebras" exclaims three year old Miss E.

Simply fantastic photos!
Awesome photography...your little bug-eyed friend looks real cute :)
Your pictures of this little "hopper" are amazing. He couldn't have picked a better colour flower to be photographed on could he.
As long as it stays put, it can be a friend. So beautiful.
Wow! Great photography and love the little green bug!
These photo's are magnificent!!! You are an artist! Have a beautiful and blessed weekend, Catherine

I think it's actually quite cute and I love the contrast of the green with the red - beautiful!!
Captivating pics - I, too, would be hard pressed to activate pest control. Thanks for sharing this delightful little creature

He is kinda cute though I may have been a little scared if I was near him.

I like the pictures and the insect.
Greetings,

I imagine the thought of killing the grasshopper that resembles a cute and fuzzy zebra to your child, sort of got squashed. LOL... :)
It is a neat looking hopper though.
Wonderful close up shots! Wow!
Insects are quite the marvels aren't they. Amazing photographs!
Wow. Fantastic photos. Just gorgeous
Oh, definitely a friend! Look how charming he is - and gorgeous markings too!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I just stopped by for a visit at yours. Love the flowers! ~Sally
just stunning, your colours are amazing and how you capture the natural beauty if it all
Beautiful, beautiful pictures! I don't mind the critters as long as they aren't eating my plants and flowers. Great up close shot!
Have a wonderful day!
He is so beautiful, I guess he has to be a friend even though it looks like hes dining on your beautiful flowers. Great captures.
What a great shot - you must have the patience of Job!
Awesome shots! I don't know why bugs won't stay still long enough for me to take their picture! Kind of like trying to get a picture of my 3 year old granddaughter!
Wonderful shots! I find the detail in insects to be fascinating! They are all so different.
He is a cutie for sure!
Well done!
Jeśli to nawet szkodnik, to jest taki ładny :-). Śliczne zdjęcia. Pozdrawiam
Oh wow! Great photos. The last one really show him (her) off.
Wonderful colors! You've captured some great details of this little guy in the last photo.
Looks like a very friendly fellow. I would still let him stay in our garden. Great shots!
Who are we to say what is friend or foe?....... he is trying to make his way in life as we are, he may lunch on your blooms but what joy he has shared via your skill with the lens!....:)
A little while back I was sitting (chilling) with a beer looking out to sea on our favourite island when something dropped on my head from the roof of the taverna, panic set in for a moment and I shook my head only to see a preying mantis drop on the floor!..... it was the first time i'd seen one in the flesh.... for the next hour we sat entranced by it's magnificence!.... Friend?.. Foe?.... who cares? made my day!...:)
Wow ... that's great ... fantastic ...

Oh, he is so cute. :) I'm all for not killing bugs unless it they are doing extensive damage...and there aren't many bugs around here that do that.
Great shots!!
Might I suggest "friend" to inquisitive little people & young boys and "foe" to those of us who love our flowers. That's my personal experience anyway.
xxoo
I'm a sucker for bug photos. This one is great! Thanks for linking up.
