Dogling Paddle

Miss E (4) has just learnt to "swim" without her her swim vest. She first called it "dogling paddle".

Now she calls it "doggie paddle".

Either way, I call it a relief to have her somewhat pool safe and she calls it lots of fun!

The children certainly enjoy it on a hot day. Our younger 6 plus three neighbours have been in this afternoon, having lots of fun.

As someone who still hasn't learned to swim, I can really understand how you feel now that your child can safely navigate the waters. Blessings. xx

You can not be young enough to learn how to swim. Here in the netherlands the children get it on school from when they are 6 years old. But I admit we have a lot of water here. Still funny to see your beautiful weather in this time of the year.

To z pewnością radość, jak czteroletnia córeczka potrafi już pływać. Wesołych Świat Bożego Narodzenia. Pozdrawiam cieplutko.
It is certainly joy as four-year-old daughter can already swim. Merry Christmas. Regards warm.

That was was I thought first, she is safe in the pool if with dog paddle or whatever one will call it :-)
And that´s really good. Brave girl!

Love the photos of the older post with the trees in the fog. And all the best for your father-in-love and a Merry Christmas for you and all your family,
Pia

The pool looks so inviting. Much nicer than the snow and ice here.

Merry Christmas!

Adorable! Doglings would be proud to see her swim like them ;) I love those childhood milestones. Wishing you a very merry Christmas and a happy 2013 :)

It's wonderful to see Miss E dog paddling on her own. She really is growing up! As a PE teacher and a qualified swim coach, I have been a huge advocate of children learning to swim (especially living in Australia).
