No the plants dont smell - well not to my nose anyway! There must be some nice fly attracting chemicals in there somewhere! (I may have exaggerated a bit with the number of flies it attracts!)

I had never seen such an amazing flower: Grevillea lavendulacea. I've also read the post you're linking and since I've never leaved Europe (went to Africa when I was one year old but have no memory of it) that explains it. what delightful contribution to 'Earth Wonders'. truly wonderful! thank you so much, not only I get to be amazed by your photography but I also learn something new :)

Love your Grevillea Lavendulacea photo! Australia has such wonderfully unique flowers! I'm from the U.S. but my husband's family is from Perth, W.A. I so love it there. It's so foreign to me yet feels completely like home.
