Another beautiful day, learning more of the depths of God's grace and of believing what He says about our true identity in Christ........ to believe and agree with God. After our pastor finished sharing, J was off to enjoy flying his planes.
It's quite hazy here today, mostly smoke from controlled hazard-reduction fires. After our wetter than average year there is extra vegetation to dry in the heat of summer, posing greater bushfire risks.
Tiny Wahlenbergia / Australian bluebell |
I love the tiny wild flowers which grow, dotted amongst the grass on the church property.
An after church swim is bit of a tradition amongst the younger children. It's certainly warm enough to restart this tradition today, a sunny 33 C/90 F and the water becoming warmer by the day.
The perfect opportunity to test out the pool toys from last week birthday gifts!
Do you want to know what the children were trying to convince us of???? See this post.....

Love the way you capture them mid-dive sometimes. The little flower looks like an upright campanula.
You are very observant Hannah. It is from the Campanulaceae/bluebell family, each flower little more than a half inch/1cm across.
Love the photo of the Australian Blue bell, we have some in our yard they always look sweet.
We had a few swimmers here today, but reports were that the water was still rather cold!
The "cool" snap last week did cool the water down, but yesterday seemed to be sufficient to warm ours up somewhat. I'm not tempted yet!
Another wonderful series of images. Looks like fun was had with the new toys.
Beautiful little macro.
Love the first shot. The space .the plane and the pilot. great.
What a stunning Australian Bluebell! I think that "swim after Church" tradition is an brilliant idea.
Great you can make this swim after church, enjoy! We drank coffee together enjoying each other but not so much the heavy rain here.
Best regards,
Marion
What wonderful shots! Seems funny to see people swimming when it is only 50 degrees here!
what fun shots....very nice
I love the series of pool shots, Karen!! The weather has been lovely this last week!!
We had a very hazy day up here from the controlled burning too. It made for an amazing sunset!
I love your macro!
Have a wonderful week! xxoo
What a beautiful lily! I'm sad to see summer leave here, but I hope you enjoy yours!
Looks like a relaxing afternoon...
wow...how much fun! great photos!
Sorry Karen, this is going to be a few comments about your posts wrapped up in one - have been wanting to find some time this weekend to sit down and reply to you. When I saw that your photo had been featured in your newspaper I wasn't surprised - and I don't say that with a sarcastic tone but a very thrilled and proud one! I'm so thrilled for you -a glorious picture and well deserved for that recognition. I loved your post about the hippyastrums (spelling?) and your tale behind them growing at your house. There used to be ones growing in our backyard which I really cherished but they haven't been blossoming for the last 2 years - the fact that I don't actually garden in my garden may have something to do with that. Can't believe the hot weather you're experiencing already - 33 degrees! Lovely to see shots of the kids enjoying the pool. What a clear, crisp pretty shot of that bluebell. Have a good week.
beautiful shots! That is SOOOOO cool that he can fly those planes like that! I know that it's quite hard to get the hang of! GORGEOUS pictures reminding me once again that I must MUST travel to Australia. I have many family members and friends that live scattered throughout and It's a BIG wish of mine :)
Gorgeous photos! It's still hazy here today. I think we need some rain or a strong wind to blow it all away!
How funny, I was just thinking about the little bluebells the other day. We used to have them all over my primary school grounds. I haven't seen one for ages.
That pool looks like so much fun! I just want to jump through my computer screen and jump in!
Looks like a great day outside. I love the pool, both the bricks and the shape, far away from the rather boring-looking ordinary ones. A jewel for any garden
Love your pool. So beautiful....
Life as it can, as it should be. Always two hands of air beneath their wings.
Please have a good Tuesday.
