One of the joys of homeschooling is being able to choose you own schedule to suit the day. The children are very keen on fishing at the local jetty right now, just a few minutes walk from home. They were very willing to start lessons early to allow for a longer lunch break......for fishing.
Lots of leaves and sticks were caught....... and duly "released".
All who were eager had a chance to try their skill/luck.
This bream is a tasty eating fish, but too small to legally keep, so it was safely released......along with an eel and a turtle. This is the same jetty where we set tiny Mr Turtle free early last year.
I caught.......a weed in flower, another photo of the bridge, beautiful sunshine and lots of fresh air -
exactly what I was "fishing" for.

What a wonderful post this morning. Your kids are darling and that looks like a great place to fish!
How lovely .... you are so blessed :)
Beautiful series.Greetings Andrzej.
Some "weed" - looks a bit like Ageratum, a bedding annual.
That homeschooling looks too good to be true: idyllic.
Do you employ teachers for certain subjects?
Great shots captured as always!
I really miss living in a country town... so peaceful, so much natural unspoiled beauty... sigh! :)
Hi Hannah, we do have a friend who comes most weeks to give music lessons (guitar-electric, acoustic and bass, keyboard, vocal) to the three who are interested.
Four of our children currently participate in local team sport competitions.
The teenagers follow an online mathematics program. The rest I cover myself with the help of many books. I am a trained primary school (ages 5 to 12 years) teacher from my single days.
I must admit that on your site of the world there is also much lovely colour and a great outdoors.
They are lucky to have such wonderful lunch breaks in a beautiful location! Really great photos!
Perfect weather for that today. Kids looked happy and I loved your last sentence.
Lovely collection of photos! I think your children learn a lot by doing:)

Beautiful photos! How wonderful for the children!
I think this is a great idea for the children. Glad to see you have pleasant weather. I remember catching bream with my dad; hundreds of them swimming around our feet. Was a magical day. Until he shot the rattler with his gun. :/
Idyllic. I love your stories and I always linger because of the music . .
a pleasure to watch as their children enjoy nature
Happy WW!

someone caught an EEL?!? Oh, my. That might freak me out. Looks like a fun day, though :)
