Our Spring September is a wonderful time of year. Perfect weather for enjoying walks any time of day.
The new life of bulbs blooming is the icing on the cake.
I LOVE the fragrance of freshias! Another first for me this spring.
Miss E surveys the scene from church. Dry winters and a few frosts leave most the grasses dry and yellow.
Growing Anemone Poppies for the first time has been a sheer delight.
Looking like we will have at least one lemon from our tree this year.
Each spring this plant flowers beautifully, hiding away on the shady side of the house.
Our twins aren't so fond of their curly hair, yet every time I see these wet ringlets I am amazed at the beauty.
No, not my rose, but in a garden nearby which is a mass of colours and mixed bloom right now.
Last but not least, I've made a little progress on the Flying Geese quilt I began last year. I'm hoping October will be a time for some more sewing. Hope you have been loving September too!

Oh that quilt looks so pretty! I have curly hair like that too and have grown to love it... most of the time! lol A yellow and purple flower? Does it get any more amazing than that?!
Love those blonde curls!
very beautiful images! kiss..:)
Yes, I love those blonde curls, too, Karen, and the beautiful, colorful flowers. Such a lovely spring world you share with us!! Thank you! Have a wonderful day!
Great series, my friend ! Really like the candids especially that little girl from the back !
WOW!! So much beauty in one post. I love those Anemone Poppies!! I haven't ever seen them except in your posts - divine!
Little Miss E surveying the scenery is such a sweet shot. I love her zest for life.
And your twin's ringlets... oh how I love them. I have always had quite straight hair but my little sister was blessed with ringlets like your twins and she has spent most of her adult life straightening it at huge expense. I'd just love some curls or waves as it would allow me to wear my hair longer.
I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product with your quilt. I wish I had finished mine before my car accident in 2009. I can't hold the fine needle now and it's a hand pieced quilt which needs 2 more blocks done before I can sew it all together on the machine (which needs a service desperately but we can't afford it as my hubby's company is in receivership).
Thanks for brightening my day, Karen.
the flower shots are so beautiful but not as beautiful compared to your twin's curls....I am viewing the shots again as they are truly so lovely making my day inspired to see grandeur in the world...your redbubble slideshow is awesome, whew! :-)
Beautiful. LOVE the curls!! You have such a good eye!! LOVE seeing the quilting happening too!! Well done.

I tuoi scatti mi lasciano sempre a bocca aperta...

That's such a gorgeous capture of your twin's ringlets - well done. Can't believe the colours in that poppy, so 'vintagely' beautiful. But that one of Miss E looking out into the view -- you HAVE to do something with that photo, I'd pay you money but I already know you know that it's priceless. Hope you had a good day. Renee
Wie wunderschön, da wäre ich jetzt gerne.
Bei uns ist der September kalt, nass und trübe!!
LG Mathilda ♥
OMG!! Your Anemone poppies are driving me crazy!! Can't get enough of its beauty..and the freshias too! You are so lucky to be able to admire such beauty :)
Your flowers shot today are great, shades of purple against whitish purplish. Beautiful color combo.
I guess your daughter is just like me, always wanting what I don't have instead of being thankful for what I have. Lord have mercy.
Enjoy your Spring!
Oh, I wish I had your September (and garden ;D). It would be so lovely to have summer to look forward to! Your photos are so very beautiful. I'm loving those anemone poppies...and freeshia is probably my absolute favourite scent <3 Also, your kiddos are beautiful, and I would do almost anything to have pretty curls like those!
This is truly such a beautiful series of photographs, and also so wonderful to see, as we are just beginning fall here, and the color of summer is fading quickly!
Your photos are fabulous!...Christine
Love the quilt in progress picture. Me and my girls starting one two Octobers ago...all that is left is quilting it together now...the hardest part to motivate yourself to do!
Wonderful, calming photos as usual.
Cheers,
Leah
Love Australia in the spring. Wish I could be there. Your photographs ar lovely. Thanks for sharing. Xx
Love Miss E's blond hair and those blond curls! Such beauty in your September, full of promise, as our gardens are dwindling. The cycles of life. Those anenome poppies ae just beautiful.
Jestem zachwycona kwiatami i lokami córki. Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
I am delighted with flowers and curls daughter. Yours sincerely.
Love the macros as always, but Miss E surveying the view from the church is priceless...
Very nice pictures...Unfortunately September announces the cold seasons here in Europe.Continue to have fun in the spring.

September just flew by and I am really looking forward to October. Your photos are so gorgeous. I really just love all of them.
Hugs~
I love the curls! Tell them to embrace their beautiful curls, they will get compliments all their lives on their hair. I must lend you my book Curly Girl, great resource for looking after curly hair properly!
Where do you find the time? Wow what a beautiful post! Loved it all!
Our cool down comes next month and I cannot wait. That means more photo outings and outings in general. Love the shots of the curls and the little girl standing in the field. Why do those with curls want straight hair and vice versa? Those ringlets are beautiful.
Our Septembers are so different: as your blooms awake, mine go to sleep. Love seeing the children enjoying the out of doors.
Teenagers don't seem to like curly hair. My grandchildren (boy and girl) both had curly hair and spent a lot of time straightening it out each day. Pity. I'm sure that your children look good with curly hair.Nice anemones too - Dave
Beautiful pictures again! I am not surprised you don't find the time for other hobbies :-). Please do not choose to decrease the rate of placing your excellent blogs.
Best wishes, Marion
Your series of photos are a delight to browse as always.
A beautiful post Karen. Love the anemone's. Great captured.
Have a wonderful day
Enjoy your beautiful spring down under. It all looks lovely!

Hi Karen, guess we have the same spring in September type of weather, here in S. Florida, as well!
Your lovely photos of the gorgeous flowers really puts a smile on my face, and of course the beautiful curls of your twins' hair. (I have a 6yr old granddaughter with dk. brown curls like that)xo
Your flower photography is superb! And I love the close-up of the curly tresses! Fantastic spring mood.
Oooo, I love the anemone poppies. They are so beautiful! I wonder if they would grow here? Your daughter's hair is simply gorgeous and looks like spun gold in that beautiful light. What a lovely capture! She may not like it, but you can tell her there is a Mother on the other side of the world who has been hoping for a baby girl with golden curls. I have two sons with beautiful curls and I'm really hoping that the baby will eventually have them too! :-)
Oh! And I meant to add that I'm glad I'm not the only one for whom it takes time to work on a quilt. I started a baby quilt when I was expecting my two-year old and it is still not finished! One of these days...
Wow, what a lovely collection of photos! Those anemone poppies are amazing.
your bokeh shots are enchanting! loving the whimsical feel of your photos, especially the curls.:p
What a beautiful selection of photos Karen. I think the poppies are my favourite. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, just a beautiful set of photos and I do love those curls too!
