Just Visiting

Let me share snaps of some of the visitors I found in the garden today.

Golden Orb Weaver

Amongst the coriander seed pods

Hover Fly

And then I went visiting, having a quick look at another aged care centre, this one is in our own town. I have arranged for my parents-in-love to come and have a tour in about 10 days time, I think it may be what they are looking for.

It was very pleasant and is one of the very few centres in our area which is able to accommodate the differing levels of care required by each.

A brief garden stroll is the perfect way for me to begin and end each day. With summer fast approaching there seems to be an increase in garden activity of all kinds.

Many thanks for all your wonderful comments on Master J's photos and also my recent posts. I seem to have little time to blog reading at the moment as family requirements are quite high......

Thanks for dropping by,
Karen

PS All photos taken with my trusty old Lumix. I used my Raynox attachment for the two ladybug photos.

Sharing at This or That Thursday.

Lovely spider .
The home you show looks to be light, airy, fresh, nicely decorated and the outside area appears to be a very pleasant place for sitting, plus of course it is handy for you. Hope it goes well when you take them there for a visit.

Byłoby wspaniale, gdyby Rodzicom ten dom odpowiadał. Mielibyście blisko do nich. Zdjęcia owadów, jak zawsze zresztą, cudowne. Pozdrawiam.
It would be great if parents answer this house. You'd close them. Pictures of insects, as always, wonderful. Yours.

Oh Karen, that spider is exquisite!! I've never seen a golden orb before but we do here on the gulf coast of Texas have a yellow and black garden spider (argiope aurantia) that can get quite large, but I haven't run across any in a while.

What a lovely care home. I esp. love the way the patio deck is covered. I hope your parents in love will find a new home there.

I came across so many spiders this past summer that I felt like Little Miss Muffit..and I know if I ever came across this type of spider I would have been frightened away for sure, (even though it is a beauty)!!

I am so glad to have found you again and it's an honour to enjoy your wonderful photography, especially because I really missed your colourful and fascinating photos! I have been very busy with a project, then my laptop crashed and I lost all my favourite blog connections ...

The ladybug is a very important and precious insect to me as it has brought and is bringing me luck quite often and also has a link with the little house of our own. That this post of yours contains two photos of ladybugs feels like kind of a sign for me!

Warm hug from Belgium. Soon, I will take the time to have a closer look to the blog posts I missed ...

Dear Cococita, lovely you have found your way back here again! You could choose to "Follow" your favourite blogs and then you'll have a permanent record of them and could access new post via Google Reader. I try to keep up with favourite blogs this way.

Warn greetings from Australia!

Your close ups are amazing.
I hope you are able to find a suitable "home" for your parents in love. I have helped my Mum find a earlier this year and found it very stressful.

Wonderful images Karen. You certainly seem to have a lot of subjects to take photos of in your garden. I used to shoot with a Lumix as well. I loved the zoom.
The aged care facility looks like a nice place. I hope that you find a place that you are all happy with. Nikki

The garden inhabitants an interesting subject for a post, Karen.

Hope the home meets with aproval, we see so many where the residents don't get outside in the fresh air, and being local the family will be able to pop in without it being a major excursion.

Fantastic close-ups of the garden insects. Your warm days are approaching, ours are receding. Early this morning, my wife and I went out to watch the shooting stars! What an amazing Earth we have!

Lovely bug shots!! Your macros are always delightful.
An aged care facility in your town sounds great for all. It would certainly ease the load if they were close by!
