Grateful

I am grateful for the beautiful big bunch of homegrown spinach/silverbeet and some farm fresh free range eggs which was gifted to us at church on Sunday. Gifts of love, thoughtfulness and oh so useful! Combined with some tiny tomatoes from our gardena and ingredients on hand, I enjoyed preparing a tasty feast Sunday evening.

I am grateful for the abundance of birds, big and small, introduced and native, which we hear and see in and around our yard.

I am grateful for colourful flowers which bloom in the garden all year round in our climate and for the intricate beauty of insects which are to be found by those who watch patiently and carefully.

I am grateful to see our Lilly Pilly decorated with pink hues of ripening berries.

I am grateful to seeing others appreciating the beauty of our big river at sunset.

I am grateful the Purple King climbing bean seeds I sowed continue to bring delight at every stage of their growth.

Every night as I lie down to sleep I recall several things I am grateful for in day just finished - I never have to think too hard.

There is so much to be grateful for, if we just look around.

Lovely images as always. I have been enjoying purple beans as well, it is a great shame that they turn green once cooked.

Yum, and mmmm, and ooooh, and ahhhhhh :) The ways you choose to reflect your life are a visual delight, as well as a peaceful sigh at mid day :) Thank you!

Also, I have a dish just like the one with eggs in the first picture, except orange :)

Hi Sarah,
The white enamel dish with deep blue trim holding the eggs was my Grandmother’s. In fact she used it to keep HER farm fresh eggs in under her kitchen cabinet when I was a child. I usually keep eggs in the fridge in their cardboard cartons but these eggs were right at home in this dish. I’m guessing yours has a history behind it too.

I'm appreciative of seeing so much beauty in your images. You captured daily ordinary things and turn them into pieces of art. The spotted dove is so much like the ones seen over here and the bright colours of the berries and leaves are eye candy.

We really do have so much to be grateful for.
Sometimes, we just need to give ourselves the time to see it.

Have a wonderful weekend, Karen!

There is so much to be grateful for in life! I never have to think too hard either, even on the most difficult days.

God gives us so much in our lives to be grateful for in our "present".
