There are so many reasons why people love Iluka. Sharing our recent walk from Middle Wall back to the Bay - the reward we gave ourselves after a long day of sorting many more possessions in my MIL's home. Thank you for your kind words after my previous post. As we continue with the huge task, we also want to take time to appreciate the stunning beauty of this gem of a seaside village which include amazing beaches and a rainforest.
Further details of many photos will appear if you hover your cursor over the image. :)

I just realize that most of the australian people live somewhere near the coast but it looks indeed terrible inviting and beautiful.
You are right S.C. - the expansive interior of Australia is mostly hot, dry desert. The eastern coastal strip is where the majority of the population centres are, however not many places are as isolated or inviting as Iluka….
I'm glad to see you and your family are taking time to enjoy Iluka while you do the heavy work of clearing out a house. xx
All the different shades of blue seem to be present in this series of photos. What a beautiful part of the world. O was sorry to hear of the sudden death of your MIL. Peace comes from all the happy moments you shared.
Beautiful photo’s -thank you for sharing this corner of the world xx
Blue skies, blue seas and wonderful birds, just a wonderful place to wander around.
Janneke it truly is a beautiful location for a holiday - however a little isolating to live there permanently.
Beautiful place. I love water and sand and I would happily take a walk there. Regards.
It's so nice to come to your place at this time of year when it's so grey and dark in my place.
Karen, this looks like such a beautiful place, and I am so glad that you and your family are having some time to enjoy it there.
