Today's Sunny Pieces

A beautiful red zinnia, the same one Miss E snapped a few days ago. Buying a packet of zinnia seeds in spring has been one of the best garden decisions I've made.

A  little moth with one set of wings which sit horizontally and another which stand vertically.

This Blue Triangle Butterfly was very busy, hardly landing at all.

Sunshine for a mother's heart is seeing her children developing new skills and seeing their satisfaction.
The sewing machine was in demand this afternoon.

Miss V with her cushion cover and Miss E with the cushion she made with a left over piece of fabric (no photos of her at the machine as I was closely helping).

No to masz dwie dodatkowe, oprócz Ciebie, zdolne krawcowe w domu :-). Cynia ma piękny kolor, a zdjęcia z motylem są śliczne. Pozdrawiam cieplutko. *** So you have two more, besides you, able dressmakers at home :-). Zinnia is a beautiful color, and pictures of butterflies are beautiful. Yours warm.

I love zinnias! And sewing is such a wonderful skill to learn. I wish I would have paid more attention when my mom tried to teach me.

Gorgeous Zinnea and your Duranta looks much greener than ours. Great capture of the Blue Triangle butterfly!
I had a wonderful time capturing numerous dragonflies this week out in the Redlands, which I posted on for a Wednesday link up.
Your girls are very clever. Miss V and Miss E made some lovely cushions... great teaching, well done Mum!!

Love zinnia's, such a beautiful old fashioned flower. And that blue and brown butterfly...oh my!! So lovely that your girls enjoy sewing, almost a lost art. I always sewed my children's clothing when they were young.

better close help than having a finger sewn to the cushion. That did happen to me a long time ago. Your kids have a fabulous mother... hope you know what a rich heritage you are giving them. the zinnias are gorgeos. and just got some of those seeds my self for the coming season. Love that butterfly too!

Beautiful pictures! So cool that you're teaching your girls to sew...I've been in desperate need of a sewing machine lately, but it's not gonna happen I don't think!

That third shot is glorious - the colours, the depth of field and most of all the movement of the butterfly. And your youngest people are sewing!! - I think I would really like to spend a day in your house, I expect I'd learn lots.
