Still Vibrant

It's 32C/90F at 6:30pm as I hear thunder rumbling rumours of a distant storm. Like our teenagers who played competition cricket all afternoon, these flowers have boldly withstood today's afternoon heat of 42C/107F and are still vibrant!

U Was słychać burzę, a u nas biało za oknami i pada śnieg. Śliczne zdjęcia kwiatów i miło na nie patrzeć teraz. Pozdrawiam.
U you can hear the storm, and we have the windows and the white snow. Beautiful photos of flowers and nice to look at now. Yours.

The flowers are beautiful but the heat sounds awful. I hope it cools down for you.

107?!!! That sounds like the weather I left behind in Texas. Ugh. Beautiful blooms; it's surprising they've held up so well. Hope you all aren't in the path of any fires. :/

I was thinking these shots are only possible in the summer but that's the case in Australia.

No I've not had a birthday recently, must have been misunderstood somewhere in translation.

Another very hot day today, almost as hot as yesterday but tomorrow will be cooler.

Thankfully there are no fires close to our town now either.

Karen, your flowers are amazing given the heat you have had. We have had very high temperatures here too. My garden isn't looking too great. Hope you are safe from the fires.

Looks like we having the same heat!
Thank God it rains too.
Gorgeous shots! What flower is that in red? Not sure I've seen it before.

Hi Ash,

It's a dianthus. About a week ago we planted out several large Dianthus seedlings (a mix of pink/red and white varieties) along our path. They are quite hardy and last a few years - hopefully.

Yes, we had a much cooler day today (only 25C) with some drizzly rain. A welcome change.
