Just completed this afternoon, I love the added detail of a little stitching on this English Paper Piecing (EPP) star.
It has been a relatively productive week as we near the end of our school holidays. Homeschooling and household management tends to leave little room for such pleasures most days.
A kitchen container kit keeps my supplies together, ready for those moments which afford some quick glue basting or a little hand stitching. Zip lock bags are excellent for neatly storing my hand cut papers, cut fabric and glue-basted pieces in their own tidy sections.
Slowly but surely the plan comes together. The joy is in the process, as much if not more than anticipating the finished product. I'm loving working with these stash fabrics and steadily creating with my hands.

'Tis a serendipitous journey stitching pretty fabrics little by little into something bigger. I love the fabrics in your stars Karen...they are just gorgeous!
Thank you!! I tend to buy fabrics which make my heart sing so now I can enjoy making them into something. Many are left overs from earlier projects.
wow the stars are so beautiful, love the bright colors
Gorgeous colours and fantastic stitching
yes!! There are times when i have to remind myself of that fact but i do agree that the joy is in the process and not just in the final product! i love your pretty stars; blues and greens are 2 of my favorite colors! i like your little organizational set up. Definitely handy to grab when you have that 1 extra moment! Have a great week Karen!!
Your precision and attention to exact detail is incredible! WOW! Love them, you clever thing!!
They are such joyous stars, in the range of blue and green colours!
Your stars are beautiful, lovely colors and stitching. I am sure the finished product will be lovely.
These are so beautiful! Can't wait to see more.
They look very well pieced, great colours and fabric selection!
Cudne. Podziwiam Twoją pracę i cierpliwość. Każda gwiazdka jest inna.Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
Wonderful. I admire your work and patience. Each star is different. Yours sincerely.
Your stars are fantastic - I love the fabrics and colors you chose. I also love that you enjoy the process - I think I tend to focus so much on the end product, that it takes much of the joy from creating something. Happy stitching!
Joy in the process!! Yes. I am trying to remember that and be in less of a hurry for finishes.
I think one reason we love finishes is because it is the best permission to start something brand new. :)
What lovely, intricate work and the colors are wonderful.
Oh yes, joy in the process, it's a blessing.

This is such a beautiful design that I am enjoying watching your progress.
Oh the stars are so pretty! I really like the detailed hand stitched flowers on that first one and the star with the bees and honeycomb made me smile as my husband raises bees. :) I so enjoy seeing your quilts come together, (and how perfectly you align the patterns.)
I understand the joy in the process as it is the same for me with knitting or crocheting.
I understand the lack of time once school starts back up, and I will pray that you can find little pockets of time to pursue your creativity!
All beauties!! It is going to be a stunning quilt!
You have the patience of Job in the bible and GOD given talent with your hands. This reminds me of the Star of David. I once quilted but gave it up as I sat too long wanting to get the quilt finished. Once I started a project I had to work on it till it was completed. That is why I said you have much patience and can work on it slowly. Look at your points, they are perfectly matched and your choice of fabrics and colors, they are pleasing to the eye. Another masterpiece in the works and I know I will be checking in to see its completion.
Being one who adores embroidery, I especially love how you stitched on certain patches!
Blessings to you!
These are absolutely gorgeous!! And your work is flawless!! It's impossible to pick a favorite. Have you done any tutorials on EPP? If not, you should....
Have a beautiful day ~ Tracy
I do love your "starry" quilt! Beautiful!!
I admire your work! Wonderful!:)
I am not an EPP fan at all, but I can definitely appreciate the love for the approach of what you are doing, and enjoying the process. You are creating some beautiful stars, the third one is my fave!
