Walk With Me

The river was high from recent rain, the sky clear, the heat of a hot day slipping away and a walk with my camera was suggested - what a gift. You are invited to join me.....

Sailing Club building, below levee wall. Flame tree above it.

And then I headed home, filled with evening's heavy scent and delightful images of a wonderful Sunday.

Wow, the water looks really high near that house. Beautiful lighting as the sun is going done. A beautiful place, no wonder you love it there.

Thank you for a lovely stroll, gorgeous scenery, so peaceful and such a lovely way to end a day in your world -- mine is pouring down rain! Awesome captures as always! Hope your week is off to a beautiful start -- it does look as though it is!

Hi Nadege, that's actually the sailing club. Goes totally under water in a flood like we had in January, which just stayed below the levy walls. Have just added caption.

Thank you for inviting us to tag along on your afternoon meander - a delightful "buffet" of shots. I particularly like the sailing club close up with those gentle ripples on the water. And I could almost hear the clicketty-clack of the train wheels as it rumbled past you on the bridge! Thanks too, for visiting my blog.

Your place is very beautiful and the reflection on the sea that gives it a different colour depending on where the sun is in the sky.....breathtaking I imagine. Thanks for the walk and have a nice day!

Another gorgeous series, Karen!!
I absolutely love my "travels" in your blog. It brings back lovely memories of a more peaceful stage in my life and the lovely country lifestyle... sigh
I remember so much of what you post like it was yesterday... and the flood of 1989 when the levy banks broke.
