Sunflower Promises

I love visiting our local Farmers' Market when I can. Along with the  fresh local produce stalls there is one wonderful flower grower who brings tubs of fresh flowers for all to admire and purchase. Thankfully I was allowed to photograph without buying, although one day I think I will bring some delightful inedibles home to enjoy for much longer!

Sunflowers make a great subject. They have such interesting shapes even before they provide us with that beautiful face. Love this shot!

So pretty. I do love sunflowers so. . .even when they've not quite opened up. There's so much anticipation for it, like the thrill before you open a gift!

Wow you certainly get a lot of comments on your posts! This is a great shot, funny how different the buds are than the actual flower. I took some phots of the buds too and they look so alien!
